Most years Pershore Phoenix dragon boat club run a charity race event - there will be no charity event in 2017, for 2018 this is currently TBD however below is a look back at previous events . . .



We are looking to recruit more teams than ever for this year's event.

A team consists of 16+ people (minimum age 12). Entry fees are £250 per full team to cover the costs of running the event. If you are struggling for numbers, why not enter a half-team which we will combine with other similar half-teams (£150 for a half-team of 10-12 people) .

We would encourage your team members to use the event to raise additional funds for charity.

Your entry fee covers provision of all equipment for the day, including essential health & safety requirements, necessary licences & insurances, as well as the free pre-event training sessions detailed above. Additional training sessions can be arranged at a team cost of £50 per session.

Your team will take part in several dragon boat races throughout the day against different teams. Hot food & drinks will be available to purchase on the day.

We want to make this year's Charity Dragon Boat Race Day even better so are extending it into a Family Fun Day, with more of everything:

We are nearly at the event of the year! Plenty of stalls & activities & races for all to enjoy.

We would encourage your team members to use the event to raise additional funds for charity, preferably (although not exclusively) for our nominated charity which this year is Acorns Children’s Hospices. Any funds raised can be forwarded to the charity via ourselves if required.

Your entry fee covers provision of all equipment for the day, including essential health & safety requirements, necessary licences & insurances, as well as one free pre-event training session which will be arranged on a mutually-convenient date. Additional training sessions can be arranged at a team cost of £50 per session.

Your team will take part in several dragon boat races throughout the day against different teams, with the fastest times qualifying for finals races at the end of the day. Hot food & drinks will be available to purchase and there will be some land-based entertainment & activities.

Photos will be taken of all races and printed in thumbnail format.  These will be presented on display boards at the DE Photo stall, (transit van with full weather awning) for customers to view.  Customers simply make a note of the image numbers they like on order cards provided; they then take this card to the computer operator who will compile their order.  Printing is done on site; it takes less than 1 minute…! We print in three sizes and all our larger products, (8”x12”) offer multiple image formats, up to four different photos on the same print.  Prices start at £5 rising to £25 for our top of the range ‘Quads’.  We provide frames for our large and standard products, framing is done onsite so customers walk away with a totally finished product.

Stall will be selling tickets for the Gorgeous Indulgence pamper evening that will be taking place end of September in Pershore, also helping to raise money for Breast Cancer. Tickets are £8 each giving people a 1x FREE pamper, coffee and cupcake with party favour to enjoy an evening of hair, nails, make-up, massage and therapy. £1 from each ticket sold goes to Breast Cancer Unit in Worcestershire, and we will be hosting more pamper evenings around the Pershore area and surrounding villages to provide an evening suitable for all around the area to relax and enjoy themselves when they deserve it.
