So first things first, congratulations to Crusaders and Kingston Pretenders on well deserved titles in the 200 metre and 500 metre disciplines respectively.
Congratulations to Henley also, who provided stern competition throughout the season and along with Phoenix made up the four main challengers for the league this year.
The mid-table is becoming hotly contested as a selection of major clubs are getting second teams to events. Anaconda Challengers can take a brace of 8th places from their debut season, and Execalibre Blades, Amathus Bees and Worcester Dragonflies have enjoyed a year long battle, which Dragonflies came out on top of.
Phoenix have many reasons to be pleased with their work for the year. A lot of hard work has gone into the season and the work has paid off.
- In the 500 meter event the crew has won a club record 4 trophies from 6 events.
- The crew broke the 50 second barrier over 200 metres.
- The crew brought home their first class victory over 200 meters.
- More often in the top 3 than not.
- And just for your Phoenicies, here’s the table based on all fixtures:
