The Pershore Dragon Boat Racing Team (Pershore Phoenix) does not have a permanent sponsor. Most events are paid for out of our own pocket along with all of our equipment and clothing. What little money the club has for itself is made through organising small scale fundraising events.

Sponsoring Pershore Phoenix Boat Racing Team can bring many benefits. Your name or message can be put the side of one of our boats. These boats are used for 2 one hour training sessions on the River Avon each week. They are also used for racing, corporate and charity events, maximising the exposure. They are naturally highly visible during transit to any events and very noticeable due to their unusual novelty value. The boats are also visible to passers-by when not in use. The club t-shirts are another area where your name can be placed. The t-shirts are worn at all competition events and are also worn casually at other events and during training. Your name can be put on paddle blades to maximise the brand effect. Our website is a natural venue for your advert and link to your own website and is very popular with a keyword embedded URL.

Dragon Boat Racing is the fastest growing water sport in the UK according to some reports so sponsoring now is a worthwhile investment. Not only is the national league growing (now with two separate divisions) but charity dragon boat events are becoming more and more popular with companies now being set up just to organise charity events. The team work aspect is proving very popular with corporate events because it is one of the few sports where good team work can overcome immense physical strength. The advantage of sponsoring a national dragon boat racing team such as the Fallen Angels is that it truly is a national team. League events are held as far affield as Exeter and Teesside. Unlike sponsoring a small football team where most events are likely to be within the same county. The national coverage of the sponsorship brand would be immense.

We are either looking for a single sponsor for the whole team, which can potentially be sponsored for as little as £2077 per year, or for a combination of sponsors. Some of the costs do not present direct advertising outlets (eg. repairs) so we would like to tie in these costs with other direct advertising costs (such as t-shirts).
